Scholarship

 Amount: $500.00

Due Date:  April 27, 2009 (day before our Officer Election Day)

 Requirements:

 1.  Must have signed in at 9 of 11 meetings

 2.  Must have attended 4 of 5 social events

 3.  Must have participated in 3 of 4 fundraisers

 4.  Submit resume

 5.  A 600 word essay.  In the essay, briefly (150 words) discuss why the Student Accounting Society is beneficial for you and the other members.  The remaining essay should tell us your five year ‘gameplan’ with regards to accounting? (i.e. getting your degree, CPA license, who you want to work for, etc.)

This scholarship will only be given to one member.  The current Officers will review if all of the requirements were met to decide the winner.  The requirements are designed to help encourage more participation throughout the semester.  The resume is required because it’s important to have an updated version to be able to give to professionals at any time.  The essay will hopefully help you figure out what you would like to do after you graduate which is always good to know and strive for!  The scholarship is a way to say thank you for your continued support of the Student Accounting Society.  GOOD LUCK!

**The scholarship information can also be found under links
