We will
be helping the Epilepsy Foundation monitor the
event and/or help them serve the food to all the
people after they are finished with the walk.
When: Sunday, April 27th
Where: 1725 E. Mission Bay Drive (just south of
the Hilton)
From I-5: Take the Sea World/Tecolote Road exit
Turn Left on
Sea World Dr.
Turn Right on E. Mission Bay Dr. (from the
South)
Turn Left on E. Mission Bay Dr. (from the North)
Follow the signs to Tecolote Shores
Time: Please be there no later than 7 am
Check your email for the
Volunteer Waiver and please fill it out no later
than Thursday, April 24th and either email it to
Gustavo, or fax it to
(619) 296-0802. Also please include your
t-shirt sizes in your email: S, M, L, XL, XXL.
We will be given a t-shirt to wear at the event.

Professional Development last Fall 07?

of you to challenge yourselves by stepping outside your comfort
zones. Whether that's studying abroad, running for an officer
position or simply trying something new. Challenging yourself,
whether you succeed or not, will help you build leadership skills
that will help differentiate yourself from the rest when it comes

Poker night: is on
Friday
April 11th
so come for an exciting night of poker.
Location: 6183 Del Paso Ave. S.D. 92120
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Buy-in: $20
Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
winners. Food and drinks will be served. This is
a great way to get a fundraising point while
making some new friends and having fun!
Rubio's fundraiser is on
April 16th.
Buy lunch at Rubio's and SAS will receive 20% of the sales. More
info will be announced at the upcoming meetings.
Carwash tickets are always available for
purchase. The deadline to purchase carwash tickets is on
April 23rd.
Two tickets must be bought to get a fundraising point. Also, if you
missed a fundraising event you can purchaser carwash tickets to make
up for that event. Tickets are $12.00 each.

About SAS
The Student Accounting Society (SAS) was originally part of the National
Association of Accountants (NAA). SAS has become one of the most
outstanding clubs on the SDSU campus. The Student Accounting Society is
committed to serving the needs and interests of future accountants.
With over 100 members, it has proven to be a beneficial resource to
Accounting Majors at San Diego State University.
Mission Statement
Our objective is to assist accounting students in becoming better informed
about the accounting profession, introduce them to the opportunities
available in the private and public industries, coordinate events with
professionals that will help guide them on their career path, and help
them take that first step into their chosen profession.
Our Goals Specifically Include:
•Promoting interaction between students, faculty, and professionals
through educational workshops, community service, and social events.
•Encouraging student involvement, leadership, and excellence in both SAS
and SDSU.
•Providing members with a forum to learn about the different careers in the accounting field..
•Assisting students in reaching their academic and professional goals by
offering tutoring, mentoring, and networking opportunities.
