Active Member Requirements
The Student Accounting Society active membership requirements and point system are designed to encourage involvement, recognize dedication, and ensure all members gain the most from their time in the organization. By participating in events such as weekly meetings, professional development workshops, community service projects, social activities, and more members earn points that count toward active membership status. Meeting these requirements not only helps you stay engaged with the organization but also provides you with the ability to become a premium member and to be invited to the end-of-year event! (separate from end-of-year banquet)
- Attend meetings (1 point per meeting)
- Attend social events (1 point per event)
- Attend Meet the Firms or any Professional Development Activity (outside of meetings) (1 point per event)
- Support our fundraising activities (donate to charity or buy an SAS t-shirt (1 point each)
- Attend officer elections (2 points)
- Become an executive officer or join a committee (2 points)
- Follow and turn on notifications for the SAS Instagram (2 points)
